No More Stolen Sisters (print) - Jesse DeRosier
By Jesse DeRosier
12” h x 24” w
The original artwork from which we made the mural print! Framed and ready to hang, hand-signed by the artist.
Artist Statement: In this piece I wanted to highlight not only MMLW (murdered and missing indigenous women), but the warrior culture and resilience of my Pikuni/Blackfoot people. The male warriors in this piece are taking their role back as protectors and their first line of defense. The warrior woman on the horse is to show the strength of all the indigenous warrior women who have stepped up and led the fight since colonization, as well as the past warrior women who have led their people in a great way.
